Episode 010: Robin Shergill | Butterfly Boutique | Theory After Hours | The Theory Hardware Podcast
Robin was born and raised in Prince George. She moved down south for 9 years to complete her post secondary education, and gain work and life experience, through her career, adventurous travels and volunteer opportunities.
Robin married Nik in July 2003 and after honeymooning for a month, she returned to live in Prince George. Today she works as a Recruitment Specialist at the Ministry of Children and Family Development. Robin is also the co-owner of Butterfly Boutique, a local boutique that focuses on carrying mainly Canadian brands. Robin and her business partner, Jacquie, focus on bringing in high quality collections to dress EVERY woman. When looking at lines, they always consider the busy woman who is on the go and wants to look chic and classy while feeling comfortable. Robin says ”we picture a woman at work, sitting at the soccer field, out with friends, and on vacation” when choosing clothing to bring to the boutique.
Robin says that fashion has always been an absolute passion. As a university student, she worked part time in a variety of clothing stores. For her wedding, she designed both their wedding and reception outfits, as well as the bridesmaids. She currently enjoys being involved in the fashion world.
More than anything, Robin values being a mom and a wife. This is what she treasures the most in life. She has 3 young children who keep them very busy with all the activities and sports they are engaged in. Robin is extremely grateful that her busy schedule and demands allow her to put family first.
